About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. I work in the Pediatric Accelerated Intelligence (PAI) Lab, where I am advised by Dr. Marius George Linguraru.
I earned my Ph.D. from the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute at the University of Utah, under the mentorship of Dr. Shireen Elhabian. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology, University of Pune, and have industry experience as an Associate System Engineer at IBM Global Business Services.
My research combines machine learning, probabilistic modeling, and statistical shape modeling to develop computational tools for medical image analysis. My current work focuses on pediatric imaging, including deep learning for ultra-low-field MRI and accessible imaging in low-resource settings. I also work on MRI-to-CT synthesis and brain tumor image analysis.
During my Ph.D., I developed unsupervised methods for anatomical shape modeling from surfaces and images and contributed to ShapeWorks, an open-source platform for statistical shape modeling.
I serve as an organizer of the LISA Challenge at MICCAI (2025–2026). Visit the LISA 2026 challenge.

- May 2026: Invited talk with Austin Tapp on AI-enhanced portable pediatric MRI at the Virginia Tech–Children’s National AI for Pediatric Health Symposium.
- May 2026: Oral presentation on AI-enhanced ultra-low-field MRI for neonatal neuroimaging at ISMRM in Cape Town, South Africa.
- April 2026: Oral presentation on MRI-to-CT synthesis and cranial suture segmentation at ISBI in London, United Kingdom.
- April 2026: Received a REI Week Poster Session Award in Community-Based Research (Postdocs/Fellows/Residents category). Presented research on ultra-low-field MRI brain volumetry and early cognitive risk at the Children’s National Research & Innovation Mixer, featuring REI Week abstract awardees.
